Write to End Violence Against Women Awards 2019 - Open for Bookings!
Zero Tolerance is pleased to present the seventh annual Write to End Violence Awards - hosted by Jackie Baillie MSP.
Wednesday 4 December 2019 from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Scottish Parliament Member’s Room
Zero Tolerance runs the Write to End Violence Against Women Awards to recognise and reward journalists and writers in Scotland who raise public and political awareness of violence against women and gender inequality.
This work is key to ending Violence Against Women, and are delighted to celebrate these awards during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
We are delighted to have received so many wonderful submissions across all our award categories, and look forward to celebrating all the shortlisted authors at the awards ceremony.
Following a wine and canapé reception, we will be announcing the winners of this year's awards.
We will also hear from Jackie Baillie, MSP - our host for the evening - and from Fiona MacKenzie from the We Can't Consent To This campaign.
We will also be hearing poetry from Bee Asha Singh, who one of the shortlisted articles is about.
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday 4 December 2019 from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Scottish Parliament Member’s Room. Guests are encouraged to arrive from 17:30, as they will need to be escorted by staff into the Member’s Room.
