We are a Living Wage employer
Violence against women is a cause and a consequence of the wider gender inequality in our society. It’s easier to abuse and harm women if you don’t see them as your equals. It’s harder to move on from violence if you lack resources (money to pay for a flat deposit, for example).
That’s why measures to promote gender equality and the economic empowerment of women are so important. We’ve previously written about our interest in a citizen’s income and a living rent, for example. We also want a ‘Plan F’ - a budget that really delivers for women.
So, we're excited to share the news that Zero Tolerance has recently been accredited as a Living Wage Employer. All of our staff, including contractors and interns, will get paid at least the Living Wage.
We’d encourage any organisations which believe in promoting gender equality and fairness at work to sign up with the Living Wage Foundation at http://www.livingwage.org.uk/employers.
