A free event for professionals working directly with young people
Monday 6th October 2014
9.45am – 4.00pm
City Halls Recital Room, Candleriggs, Glasgow, G1 1NQ
The Women’s Support Project, White Ribbon Scotland and Zero Tolerance are inviting professionals to a round table event to discuss concerns on the use of pornography by young men. This event reflects the growing concerns evidenced in recent research, and also by front line staff working with young men. Young people themselves have come forward and shared their experiences of pornographic and sexually explicit materials with researchers and staff, and we need to know how best to respond to this issue.
With input from Scottish and UK experts and practitioners, the event will examine what we know about young men’s use of porn; discuss evidence from practice, and what we can do to counter the impacts through our work.
If you work directly with young people, are concerned by the normalisation of pornography and want to be proactive in challenging this, please apply for a place at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CFPP52W
Please share amongst your own networks, forums and partnerships.
