Write to End VAW Awards

Reporting on violence against women can play a vital role in increasing understanding of violence against women and gender inequality and challenging their place in our society. This writing is crucial to ending all forms of this violence through raising public and political awareness of its cause.

Zero Tolerance runs the Write to End Violence Against Women Awards to recognise and reward journalists and writers in Scotland who raise awareness of these issues in a responsible and sensitive way.

Submissions are now open for the 2019 Write to End Violence Against Women Awards. Submissions will close at midnight on Monday 30 September 2019.

The Write to End Violence Against Women Awards are held during the 16 Day of Action on Violence Against Women and have been an annual event since 2013.

The Awards have their own Facebook and Twitter accounts you can follow to keep up to date with the awards.
