Healthy Relationships

The Healthy Relationships packs are available for younger children and teenagers.  They are designed for use by social workers, voluntary and paid youth workers, teachers, health promotion staff and other professionals who work with young people.  Activities in the pack aim to develop core skills such as problem solving, decision making skills, life skills, including personal and social skills.

In addition it is hoped that the resources offer young people opportunities which are:

  • Educative - enabling young people to gain the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to identify, advocate and pursue their rights and responsibilities as members of our society
  • Empowering - equipping young people with a greater knowledge and understanding of certain relationship issues, which they may face at some point in their lives
  • Expressive - encouraging and enabling young people to express their emotions, thoughts, concerns and aspirations through challenging and creative activites.  Such activities aim to create a forum where the many sensitive and complex issues surrounding domestic abuse can be addressed and discussed by young people safely and accurately.

It is advisable that anyone wishing to use this resource will require to have experience of working with young people and an understanding of the types of issues which affect and/or influence their day-to-day lives and in particular of the effects of domestic abuse.

The cost of the pack including a CD copy for printing from costs £23.
