Zero Tolerance is seeking to employ a Finance and Administration Worker

About the post

We are looking for a very organised person, with excellent numeracy, administration, and communication skills, to support the smooth running and good governance of Zero Tolerance. This post will undertake the financial and administrative procedures needed to run a small charitable organisation, which currently has a team of one full time and five part time staff (including this post) and a voluntary board of trustees. The post-holder will support the Coordinator in providing financial reports to the Board and our funders.

The post would suit someone who has a history of working with financial records and management; can manage their own time; values an informal working environment in a small organisation; and can communicate with confidence with our accountants and Board Treasurer.

Salary and hours

The post is part-time initially 20 hours per week until 31 March 2014, then 15 hours per week until 31 March 2015, with the possibility of extra hours and extension beyond that date, subject to funding. The work pattern is fully negotiable and we are a very flexible employer, so this post would suit someone looking for finance orientated work that fits around their existing commitments. The post will be based in our central Edinburgh office.

The salary is £10,133 per annum (pro-rata of £19,000 per annum) with a 6% employer’s pension contribution available.

The closing date for this post is 4pm on Tuesday 22 October.
