Vacancy: Interim Campaigns and Engagement Officer

Zero Tolerance is seeking an interim Campaigns and Engagement Officer to contribute to its work to end violence against women in all its forms, through a prevention approach and promoting gender equality.

Interim Campaigns and Engagement Officer (to 8th June 2017, part-time)

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of delivering engagement work with a wide range of partners to continue our work to engage new supporters and influence change at a strategic level. This post will focus particularly on our early years and media work.

Core Job Purpose:
• To build on the success of Zero Tolerance’s work with youth and early years workers by engaging with key influencers to build support for the need for VAW and gender equality as a core part of pre-qualification training and continuing professional development.
• Work with the Media and Events Officer to create and manage a year-round campaign linked to the Write to End Violence Against Women Awards, promoting good journalism on VAW.
• To act as an ambassador for Zero Tolerance’s prevention focused approach and connect with organisations across Scotland, enabling us to have a wider reach and promote consistent national approaches to prevention.  

Hours and salary:
• The post is 30 hours p/w, usually worked over four days
• This post is cover for the current post-holder (who will be acting up as Director) until 8th June 2017 
• The salary is £22,620.00 (pro-rata of £28,275.00) 

General information

• Zero Tolerance offers a 6% employer contribution to a pension provider of your choice.

• We offer 28 days of annual leave and 10 public holidays to full-time employees, pro-rata for part-time employees, and we operate a flexible working hours policy.

• The post is based at our office in Papermill Wynd, Edinburgh, but will involve some travel across Scotland, with overnight stays possible.

• Interviews will take place on Wednesday 21st September 2016
