Not Safe At Home campaignTuesday, 2nd November, 2010
On the 28th October 2010, Scottish Women’s Aid launched it’s Not Safe at Home campaign at the Scottish parliament. Our goal is to raise awareness of the impact the impending cuts will have on women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse and in particular the impact on Women's Aid services of losing two key funding streams - the Violence Against Women Fund and the Children's Services Fund.
For four weeks we will be lobbying local and national policy makers to ensure women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse are not forgotten. Our silhouettes will be travelling the country stopping at Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth, Oban and Glasgow. We will be attending the Labour, SNP and Green conferences over this period.
If you want to support our campaign, contact your local councillors and MSPs. Find out who they are.
