‘Get SAVI’ (Students Against Violence Initiative)

Zero Tolerance is hosting the pilot of new a training course for students at Edinburgh University on the 21st – 23rd of January 2011. The Initiative has been developed by a consortium of Scottish charities led by Scottish Women’s Aid.

Get SAVI is a bystander education training programme that aims to help students:
• to develop better understanding of gender-based violence ( including rape sexual assault, relationship violence and homophobic violence or abuse);
• to explore responses to gender-based violence
• to develop awareness of the range of ways in which ‘bystanders’ (witnesses of violence or abuse who are not directly involved) can intervene safely or become involved in activist and campaigning work.

Get SAVI will be launched in March 2011.

For more information about this and other network training events please see the Prevention Network Calendar (opens a new window).
